I prefer to fix it in Singapore.
Flying Indonesia-singapore just for servicing?
That sounds too much...
Well, here's the situation:
1. Canon Serv. ctr. Jakarta has a policy of
charging 2x service price for non Indonesia warranty.
2. Flight Indonesia-Singapore on budget airline
can be as cheap as 60 US$ round trip.
3. The paranoia of
"Oh-are-you-gonna-take-my-original-parts-and-replace-with-inferior-ones".
4. I have family & friends in Singapore,
So i can save on the hotel budget.
5. Servicing in Indonesia can take 7 days til only God knows when.
In Singapore 3 to 5 days.
And for my latest problem,
It had been sent to Canon Singapore on Tuesday,
and done on Wednesday!
1 day!
How about that?
It's a rare case to be fixed so fast.
Maybe because I contact via email in advance,
So they understand the condition and prepare the parts.
and they reply emails just in hours.
With all these excellent & quick service quality,
Some people say workload in Singapore is stressful.
Some say true,
Some say people just exaggerate it.
Is it too stressful there?
Or we're just too lazy to be efficient and swift?
